This is an ACTIVITY CHECK. Remember how we did it last time?
Well, we're doing it again. As we said before, this is a slow, laid back game. We thrive off backtags and characters that post once a month. Activity is great and we certainly encourage it but most people keep active enough. If you’re around to see this? You’re good. By our books, as long as you want to play here, then that’s the important thing.
So here’s what you do. You want to keep your characters? Then comment here with their names and usernames. That’s all! You want them to stay then just basically go “HERE THEY ARE.” We’ll give this a week or so. If you have a comment in the hiatus post here that says you are on hiatus, you do not need to check in. If your comment isn't there, then you're not officially on hiatus, so you do.
And that’s all, folks. So go forth and comment with whom you play (or whom you want to keep) and we shall call it as 'good.'

[…Well, unfortunately she’s just arrived anyway; and now she’ll just be looking rather stunned and just on the edge of panic- because seventeenth century boats do not usually suddenly become great big starry places. But luckily the faint panic only lasts a few seconds before she smoothes her great, big dress down and takes a huge gulp of air] Come now, there be no use in losing my senses; even if some Diablo hast bespelled my being to purgatory. I must keep my mind if bearing this strange indignity is proper.
[She pauses a second and then laces her hands together; lifting her head back to examine the stars] I must be bespelled to dream of this land; I can see the Lode-star before me but it is not tied to that place away from this dream. A truly strange land; t’would drive any who saw it to ravings of ecstasy. [A pause and then she lowers her head; a oddly sad expression on her face] …T’would drive most who saw it to ravings.
[She pauses for another few moments; her face slightly bitter- and then her shoulders lift in a sigh as she takes a small step forward and lifts her head up high again- best to try and forget such troubles when a whole host of them have popped up!] These stars… I wouldst call it gods blessed; if’t I did not suspect the dark hand of some devil in its making. I must be cautious on this matter- must find reasons for these strange travels.
[She still doesn’t start yelling though; instead she just stands there for a few seconds and then turns in a slow circle- before halting again and looking back down slowly; her face is now fairly calm; fairly blank- most panic hidden if not erased] …Blessed folk of the stars; dost ye hear my speech? Wouldst ye love me still if I expressed my desire to find myself free?

She's a fairly typical seventeenth century woman, a general servant to the lovely Desdemona, spends most of her days walking around in gardens and dressing people about fifty times aaaand she also happens to be married to one of the most awesome characters in literary history; though she does not know that.
Anyway; she's on a boat (singing optional) at present moment and hopefully I'll start moving her through the play soon- SO, YES- FEEL FREE TO THROW DRAGONS AT HER! <3333

[Normally she could concentrate on her work well enough in her own Reality. But on more than one occasion her moments of unexplained panics and guilt attracted attention from Dr. Agasa - the last thing she wanted was to trouble the old man. And so now her research has been temporarily moved to the library on the Plane. The table she seemed to have claimed for herself was littered with books and folders of calculations and notes she had brought with her.
Amongst the research work is a stout bottle of what looks to be Baigar that was sitting on a small piece of paper. After every other page of the book she was reading she would look to the bottle, the note and then back to her reading material. All the while she seemed to muttering to herself when she wasn't trying to bury herself in her work.]Whose books? I've looked through everything Agasa has... This is regarding canon updates. Previously, we said you had to email the moderators with what you wanted to add to your history. After that, we would approve the update, and you could go on your merry way.
It occurred to us in a moment of epiphany that this is a very silly rule. We are sure we had a reason for it at the time, but presently, none of us can recall what that reason was. If you cannot think of a reason for a rule, the rule probably is not very useful, so we are striking the rule off.
Summarily: you don't ever have to email the mods with canon updates ever again. If you really want to, you can. We will say, 'Oh that is cool, I am sure it will make lots of fun stuff happen!' Because we love you! There is, however, no requirement to do so.

[Haseo's in a noticeably bad mood when she appears on the Plane. Well, this isn't too surprising; she's still reeling from a certain fight with d3!Pi some time ago. Losing control and going batshit on an alternate version of a friend-ally-person is bad on many levels - it's one more screw-up, and hadn't she decided she'd never do something like that again?
...However, there's also the nightmares to deal with. She'd been having some bad ones before accessing this place (thanks, screwed-up family,) and they've gotten worse since first accessing the Plane. That fight did not help, and not sleeping seemed like a good way to avoid the nightmares...
Result: one cranky, slightly out-of-it white-haired person on the Plane, sitting down next to her scythe, which she is not letting out of her sight. Yes, she's still lugging that thing around.][ooc: The nightmares strike again, whee.] | |
